VEGASSSS BABYYYYY!

Image
Road Trip Anyone? My roommates and I impulsively decided to go to Vegas for the final WCC basketball tournament for BYU. (It wasn't that impulsive, but it was a few days before.) We drove up on Friday and got to watch three games while we were there before heading home on Sunday. Vegas Tour Guide I was the only one of my friends that had been to Vegas before (for a total of ~12 hours), so I was in charge of taking them around. I'll add some pictures of things we saw and did with captions for more details! We didn't have a ton of free time outside of the games, so we didn't do a ton but tried to get in the iconic Vegas spots. In-n-out post game 1 the gardens at the bellagio Go Cougs Baby! THE MAIN EVENT (basketball of course!) We didn't arrive in time for the first women's game, but we watched it on the drive there while we ate some delicious Panda Express. Although the ROC was relatively small, we were having a blast. The first game we went to was so hype. We we...

IHOB?

YOU'VE NEVER BEEN TO IHOP?!?! I learned in Vegas that Sage and Annalie had never been to Ihop. (It was on the road by our hotel and we drove past it maybe 10 times in two days.) I was honestly so hurt because I have some great memories at Ihop! So of course, mandatory Ihop meal!! They said they loved it (thank goodness!), and I think we may need to find an Ihop near campus because I forgot how good their pancakes full of sugar are!  No pictures for this outing unfortunately because we were so hungry and focused on our delicious food, but I felt this needed to be recorded for history purposes lol! Please send me Ihop gift cards, Liz

ANNALIE, YOU'RE GOING WHERE?

Image
China, Hong Kong My roommate, Annalie, got called to the China, Hong Kong mission! WHAT? That's insane. I'm so excited for her, but it's insane that she's going to live in China for a year and a half. It's perfect for her, and I know that she'll love her so much. A fun thing we learned is google translate can't say any words in Cantonese, but we've all been looking up youtube videos of different words because it's a crazy language. She's absolutely going to crush it in Hong Kong. Isn't she just the cutest :) One last fun fact to end the post: members in Hong Kong only get one day off of work a week, which isn't always Sunday, so church meetings are held every day of the week, so members can attend on their day off work. Isn't that so cool?! Much love, Liz

IN CASE YOU WERE WONDERING...

I Have the Coolest Roommates Ever! This video honestly deserved it's own blog post, so here it is. My roommates had the great idea to make a "tik tok" type video (a goofy video posted on an app) of the ABCs from BYU basketball. We go to the Mark Pope show every Tuesday night and always try to have funny things to share with him after the show. For the final Pope show of the season, we created this video to show him. For some background, a trend on TikTok was to get clips from movies/tv shows/popular celebrities, etc. and find them saying something that started with every letter of the alphabet and make a silly video with them. Shout out to Annalie for finding most of the clips and to Sage for editing it instead of sleeping. I really do have the best and coolest roommates in the world. Enjoy! Oh happy day, Liz

THE END OF LIFE AS WE KNOW IT

Image
The Title Makes No Sense...I Know All it means is there are officially no more home football or basketball games left this year. My friends and I are super sad because that was our entire social life. I'll add lots of pics so you know we truly do nothing else. My best friend from home, Meagan, and I at the Arkansas football game Sage and I with one of our favorite players, Trey Stewart, after the blue v white preseason game But Wait! There's More... While there are no more home games left, my friends and I bought tickets for the WCC tournament in Las Vegas this weekend. We are so stoked! Basketball is literally getting us through this semester, so we had to take the opportunity to go to (possibly) the last games of the season. And it's the last WCC tournament for BYU ever! I'm so excited for the Big 12 but sad that the conference tournament won't be close by anymore. I'm soaking up the last of the big games in the west. (Photo dump incoming...) My roommates and...

FIRST BLOG, WHO DIS?

Image
I MADE A BLOG! I was feeling nostalgic for my blog of the past and felt like journaling, but realized it would be way easier online, so welcome to my blog! I hope that I remember to keep up with this and look back on all the dope memories. LIFE LATELY LET ME TELL YOU...life has been crazy busy but crazy fun! My best friends (and roommates), Sage and Annalie, love going to BYU sports, which takes up most of our free time. Other notable events: - got a 100% on a group project for my static systems (big accomplishment for me!) - submitted my mission papers - crazy amount of snow and a BYU snow day (unheard of) - dance party in the snow the night before the snow day - baby Caleb (affectionately called Leb Leb by yours truly) was born As you can tell, life is busy, but I'm loving every (well most) minute of it! We have a busy weekend ahead of us, per usual, but it's sure to be a good one. Annalie (left) and Sage (right) in the evening snow storm playing candy crush in statics (it wa...
